Brian Eno Encourages Backing to Propel Together for Palestine Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign seeks to deliver assistance to Gaza's residents while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Chance for Solidarity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a chance to show solidarity with Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he said. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it fails to, Christmas singles are a thing unto themselves.”

Powerful Theme of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti explained. “It’s basically saying that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we merit as a people.”

Recording Origins and Star-Studded Lineup

The track was produced after a solidarity show held in September. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was omitted from the lengthy event due to time constraints.

The notable list of artists appearing on Lullaby features a selection of acclaimed names from the industry. All took part in the September show, which managed to collect a considerable total for charitable causes.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was brought to life by a group of producers and composers. The track blends a combination of the original Arabic with new English lyrics.

The team running the initiative have clarified that their objective is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These donations will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“There is no a rigid aim,” a figure explained. “We aim for as much as possible. Naturally, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The situation in the area was noted for its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of buildings described as destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a couple of million is unlikely to make a massive dent. But I think the significant factor is above all making this cause better known and demonstrating that another narrative exists.”

The song is launching at the end of the week. Additionally, a complete film of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a popular streaming site from later in the month.
