Soccer Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Life

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I will go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

My son advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
